About us
A simple foundation with a clear purpose
We are establishing Charana Foundation as a public charitable organisation in India. Our aim is to serve communities through practical, transparent work — funded by corporate social responsibility (CSR) and the kindness of people who believe small acts can change lives.
What we believe
Dignity over charity alone. Local knowledge first. Open books and clear impact. We start small, document what we do, and grow only as trust and capacity allow.

Beginning in the hill areas of Senapati district, Manipur, with a long-term view of education, healthcare access, and rural community development across the region.

Our objects follow the classic charitable purposes under Indian law — relief of poverty, education, medical relief, and rural development.

Building trust before we ask for it
We are in the founding phase. Legal registration, organisation PAN, bank account, tax exemptions (12AB / 80G), NGO Darpan, and CSR-1 registration are underway or next on our list. This site will be updated as each step is completed.
